hey guys... sorry it took so long but its finished

Name:Mitsuhide Aketchi

Age:20 (for those who do not know this can guess anywhere between 20-60 due to an ageless face)

Gender:male

description: Mitsu is a young man with a seemingly ageless face and well built body. Broad shoulders and arms like that of a black smith he is surprisingly agile, he is about 6 foot 3 inches and his body is well toned without much fat. He is usually walking bent over on all fours like a wolf. In actuality he is 16. But for anyone’s guess he can be placed in the ages between 20 and 80. he has long flowing white hair that reaches half way down his back that usually hangs openly and curls slightly at the bottom

Personality: Open and friendly. is annoyed when people talk about wolves in a bad manner and does not like to be bothered about his past

Special Characteristics:a yellow chakra to match his eyes. very beast like and usually walks on all fours.

background: not much is known considering he barely knows anything about his own past. he can remember nothing of his human parents and says he was raised by the wolves in the forest outside of Kanoha. the only two things he has from his parents are the katanas on his back and the blood red brooch on his chest.

as a child he had his clans strongest summon sealed inside of him and in a brief time of madness before he could take control of this demon he slaughtered his entire clan. he does not know this and was informed that bandits had raided his home in his youth. he later find out this fact from the demon trying to corrupt him but instead he made a vow to use his abilities to help people. from a young age Mitsu has been able to envelope his mind in a concentration technique he calls the flame and the void, or sometimes the oneness.

in his youth he was raised among the wolves learning to hunt and fend for himself and the pack and a wandering shinobi found him with the wolves. he had some influence among them even though he could not talk to them, he had helped many out and word and discription travels quickly among wolfs, but he noticed that the young man had an extraordinary chakra system. his base amount without training was itself a force to be reconed with. it was deep golden in color and had the intensity of a bijuu. there was not much he could do to test the young boys system because many mental blocks that had been put up but he decided to teach him many things about the shinobi way, but not much about human society other than language. the young man advanced quickly with hidden memories that had been planted by the demon inside of him that had been unable to reveal itself yet, to either the boy or the man,

About the age of 13 Mitsu began to become very ill. he was stricken with random disease that was unexplainable by the man. things began to light on fire around him. and the wind would become uncontrollable. after a few days the sickness seemed to reside and Mitsu had realized that he had a few other abilities. he seemed to grasp life itself as he took and wove visable strings of the elements. the first thing he did was weave fire and air into a small ball of light. he also learned about this time he could control the air itself at will quite easily. he had began to learn that he could condense the particles and actually stand on or lift objects with it.

The man taught him for about a year and taught him many advanced techniques such as the shadow clone and rasengan as well as many others. but at last the man departed. By this time Mitsu's body had taken an ageless form at the age of 15 when he went with his wolves and signed up at the academy in Kanoha. He got along well at first when he didnt talk much but when he did speak he always seemed to offend people without trying, he explained to them what his past was and most understood where he came from and just seemed to shrug this off. he quickly made a few friends and rivals but easily excelled among the other students because of his fast learning and previous knowledge of jutsu. the teachers were amazed when he used the shadow clone in place of the normal clone technique and almost used rasengan on a spar partner. he got many reprimands and "talking tos" from that little incident, and quickly learned that such a technique was not to be used on anyone without the intention to cause great harm.

Mitsu, after Seu's departure with Shinta, was broken in mind and spirit, an empty shell thirsting for blood... he vaguely remembered before entering talk of shinobi raiding the rice country and killing those who opposed them. He called out to the wolves in the area looking for the encampment or location of any of these. After a few minutes a sending came back that showed an encampment with many shinobi about a mile and a half off. A demonic grin crept its way across Mitsu's face as he turn in the direction shown and he began to walk his body slowly transforming to resemble a walking wolf

Mitsu grasped saidin and wove something he called the mask of mirrors to change his appearance into that of an old man with deep hood as he approached the out skirts of the encampment and tied a band around his eyes to feign the blind man. he wandered slowly into the middle of the encampment and a few of the ninja came over and started to mess with him "hey old man. whats the matter cant you see" they laughed at that and began to shove him around in his mind Mitsu though about how much they stunk with the blood of innocents but waited a moment "come on old man where is your money" Mitsu replied "silver and gold have i none... but that as i do have i give to you" with those words his mask was gone

The mask of mirrors faded away to show a gruesome sight of one who was like a man. his body was covered in a gray fur, and very much like that of a wolfs head and elongated ligaments how body was drawn out and stretched.... the men who had come to bother him now backed away in fear wondering how their eyes had been so deceived "wh- what the hell are you" Mitsu replied in a slow dark tone, malevolence heavy in the flow "I am the darkness in the back of your mind. And I am the punishment for your sins" The three shinobi turned to run about this time but Mitsu had already begun his attack

with a swift swipe Mitsus hand, with claws for nails, sliced through his first victim. cutting through the midsection and letting the two halves of a man topple over shoved his hand through the back of the retreating second man tearing out his heart as it beat its last in his hand he took a bite of the heart reveling in the spilt blood of his victims... as the third was about to be 10 feet away he appeared in front of the man the blood from his now dead companions heart dripping from his mouth. Mitsu just smiled a wicked grin that never touched those wolf eyes of his. the man he faced backed away in terror stumbling hoping to escape his fate and Mitsu just stared into his eyes. to make sure he knew what was coming... and then suddenly Mitsu lunged forward with his fangs bared and tore the mans throat out. he rose slowly hearing a circle gather around him and licked the blood from his lips as he slowly turned a circle to see the odds against him

as he turned his eyes counted about 25 shinobi of at least chunnin rank from the looks of them and a few jounin in the mix. as he looked trying to point out the leader he saw one man in the back a large man with deep blue eyes and golden hair. He resonated authority and Mitsu pointed him out, "you i will kill last" the man replied "i think you wont get very far.... we are trained shinobi and also outnumber you quite easily." the man then cried out in a commanding voice "ATTACK"

as the crowd rushed in mitsu calmly dodged the first wave casually drawing his blade sharp claws across a stomach or an arm here and there. after about 3 minutes Mitsu was beginning to grow bored without a scratch on him and a few of the lesser ninja laying about him in puddles of their own warm blood still with a small amount of life and watch as their fellows attacked in vain. one of the jounin jumped into the air doing a set of handsigns as the rest cleared from around him the man called out katon: gokakyuu no jutsu and flame erupted from his mouth and Mitsu stood there and created a tunnel of air around himself which bent the fire into a whirlwind around him after it died down a deep rumbling laughter could be heard and Mitsu cried out in a high pitched howl and many of the surrounding enemies fell clutching at their head with pain.... Mitsu now growing extremely bored with his group of victims thought to just end it quickly. a deep green chakara began to surround his body showing that the first three gates had been opened and with a flash those that lay injured around him were dead. he continued to cut through the ranks of his opponents singing the whole time as he reveled in the wonderful slaughter and blood shed

as the last of the men surrounding him fell he glided slowly over to the man stumbling away. covered from head to toe in the blood of his fallen enemies he stepped on the mans chest pinning him where he was. the man spluttered words of apology and begged for forgiveness but Mitsu just laughed while changing back into his normal form with that ageless face "look into the true face of your punishment and know you will have no mercy, as you have given none to the people of this village." with that he raised his hand above his head and put all his chakra into a large oodama rasengan. it ranged about to a 5 foot radius in his hand and weighed him down as he brought it slowly down "good bye you pathetic fool" with those words he changed back into the half wolf form and was easily able to support the weight of the mass of chakra spinning in his hand and brought it down hard and fast eradicating the man he had pinned and everything around him for a 500 meter radius up and down.

he stood in the crater he had just made and smiled to himself warmly and his soul rejoiced at the slaughter he had just brought and yet it ached but it was left unnoticed he turned to walk away from the area slowly, singing a song with no words

If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby.

Because Ruiga uses groundwater to create the jutsu, if he is in a rocky area, he will have difficulty utilizing this technique.

WIND ELEMENT

Air Tunnel Jutsu: (Wind) Opens a path of airflow from one point to another.
Bent Air Tunnel Jutsu: (Wind) Bends an invisible path of wind in any direction.

air cannon-This C-Rank jutsu allows one to fire a blast of air from their hand towards his opponent, cutting them in half or merely painfully forcing them aside. Use of this jutsu put a dangerous amount of pressure on the arm so use wisely.

Dust Wind
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: user forms handsigns and places their palm upon the ground, releasing a gust of wind across it, which in turn kicks up a dust shroud to conceal their location. If enough force is put into the gust the user may even be able to envelope the entire field

Wind Arrow Technique
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: The user molds chakra and breathes in. He or she then blows out and an arrow made of wind, which is then shot from the user’s mouth. Since it is made out of wind the arrow is hard to see. One arrow shot at a time.

Oxygen Deficiency
Style: Genjutsu
Description: The user by releasing their chakra out over the air currents traps their opponent in a minor Genjutsu, in which their opponent after some time believes themselves to be choking as the battle progresses, when in fact the chakra is interfering with their brain waves and making them not take as much air into their lungs as they usually would.

Great Breakthrough
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: This is a Ninjutsu which utilizes the Wind Element. After the user brings their hands to their mouth, the user will blow a large blast of wind capable of leveling almost anything in its way.

Cutting Whirlwind
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: The user performs hand signs and concentrates a large amount of wind chakra around their opponents feet or near their opponent. If focused around the opponent as soon as their body muscles twitch to move the jutsu will activate by creating a large burst of wind almost like a tornado for a few moments, hurling them into the air, as the wind stops, 3 wind sickles form around them and slash at their body, driving them into the ground hard with the force of the attack.

Parting Movement
Style: Taijutsu
Description: By focusing a thin layer of wind chakra around their own body the user is able to increase their movement and speed by at the very least 2x, this is effective when in close range fights as when attack you can land hits faster and defend better. When this jutsu is coupled with Palm Strike it can be very dangerous.

Gale Wind
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: By gathering a large amount of the users Wind chakra in front of them and forcing their palm against it. The user unleashes a cutting wind of up too 70 mph across the battle field, this jutsu is hard to avoid and will most likely hit directly.

Needles of the Wind
Style: Ninjutsu
Description: The user gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms the air into sharp and deadly needles. Description: The user concentrates a huge amount of wind chakra to completely cover their body in slashing wind, this stopping the opponents strikes from hardly doing anything unless a Katon (fire) jutsu. The taijutsu aspect is that this wind is sharp enough to increase the strikes of the user quite a bit, not only striking the opponent but cutting them at the same time.

Fuuton Furyuu no Jutsu Wind Dragon

Description: Creates a dragon formed from wind. The dragon looks like a large serpent, a traditional Chinese dragon that is twenty feet long. The dragon has a red mane and the rest of his body borders light blue. The color is not distinct because the wind manipulates it from its color to transparency. The dragon can shoot Great Breakthrough from its mouth.

This spiraling Wind attack has only been seen in a half completed state. But even in this incomplete form, it has wrought massive destruction. With the aid of clones Naruto will form Rasengan and add the Wind Element. Though called "shuriken" the attack is not thrown. The trick name along with the aid of clones who act as a feint allow Naruto to get in close and strike his opponent. The attack itself can only be maintained in his hands for a few seconds time.

Rasen Shuriken is formed by enumerable miniscule small blades which slice into every cell of his target, severing the chakra circulatory channels connecting all the vital points on the body. Once it connects the highly dangerous attack will envelop the target in a massive sphere of destruction. The attack hits the opponent in such a way that it is even beyond the abilities of the Sharingan to copy. Due to its channel severing nature, the result on the body resembles a fast acting poison more than an outright attack. Unfortunately this same damage is done to Naruto's arm. For that reason Tsunade declared it forbidden.

(TRAINING WIND)
Wind Element Training Step One:

The Wind Element is known for its ability to cut and sever most anything, making it an excellent offensive oriented ability for close and mid-ranged battles. The first step in wind training is placing a leaf between ones palms and then cutting it in half with only ones chakra. To manipulate ones chakra it helps if the ninja imagines their chakra splitting into two and then grinding back across themselves. This allows the two chakra fields to essentially sharpen the other into a very thin and sharp cutting edge.


Wind Element Training Step Two:

The second step involves cutting running water with all the Wind chakra the ninja can manage. With this the ninja has to create and produce massive amounts of elemental chakra nearly instantaneously, just as they would in an actual jutsu. To successfully cut the water, the ninja must ensure their Wind chakra remains in the body long enough after molding it.

Wind Element Training Step Three:

The final step in Wind training is to spatially recompose your newly created elemental chakra. This allows the ninja to determine the strength and scope of their attack. The normal Rasengan itself is pure spatial recomposition of chakra. To combine the two is not easy, as the number of ninja who can do both simultaneously is limited. To do so requires a natural innate talent. It was this step which was too difficult even for the Fourth Hokage. The Fourth intended to add his own elemental chakra into the highly developed spatial recomposition of the Rasengan to create a Rank S or even higher rank of difficulty jutsu. This task proved very difficult for Naruto, extensively requiring Tenzou's Bijuu control powers. According to Naruto this task asked him to do two things which couldn't be done alone. To that end he decided to use two clones, one to help with Rasengan formation and the other to help in Wind element creation. This allowed him to finally master the technique, without the apparent need for other clones.

Souzou Saisei - Creation Rebirth Character Use: Tsunade

Souzou Saisei is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Sannin Tsunade. It is said this technique will prevent Tsunade's falling in battle. Over time Tsunade will concentrate chakra to a spot on her forehead that takes the form of a diamond. When she releases the seal on the jutsu, the chakra disperses and stimulates the proteins of her body to increase the speed of cell division and reconstruction of cells. This allows her to recreate all organs and tissues. The technique itself does not regenerate the old cells, rather it hastens the creation of new ones through division. Unfortunately a body's cells can only split a certain number of times in a lifetime. By speeding up this process Tsunade is shortening her life. She may not die in battle, but she can die by speeding up its natural lifespan.

Another potential side effect of this technique is her body losing its youthful form. After using this jutsu in battle, the effects will show as her body regains it's natural older form. It is only after rest that she can cause her body to regain its false youth.

Dokunuki is a skill used by medical ninja to remove harmful poisons from a patient's body. The ninja will infuse their chakra into liquid, which they will insert into the patient. Kuchiyose • Edo Tensei is a Ninjutsu technique which had been forbidden because of its dark nature. The technique involves the summoning of dead souls from the afterlife back into the real world. Normally Kuchiyose (summoning) involves the use of the caster's blood as compensation for summoning, Edo Tensei is different though. The ninja will first sacrifice a living person to provide the vessel that the dead soul will inhabit. The dead body will then be incased in ash and dirt to resemble the soul of the person that was resurrected. When the ninja wishes to recall the souls, a portal will open in the ground and the caskets holding the bodies will appear. When the caskets open the bodies will be grey and in a state of minor decay. At this point the dead souls are able to remember their past life, but they are at the command of the one who summoned them. One final act will fully wipe out their conscious and make them under the command of the one who summoned them. The ninja will place a fuda (charm/tag) of some form into the head of the body. This will then give vitality back to the body and make it a pure killing machine.

When a portion of the dead body is damaged, the ash and dust will merely return and fix the damaged body part. The only way currently known to stop the resurrected person, is to utilize the Shiki Fuujin technique and remove the soul from the body.

Shindan (Diagnosis) Description: The first step in treatment is understanding the problem. With this skill a shinobi uses their hands to carefully probe a patient for problems. This technique is preformed by kneeling over a patient and slowly running both hands over their body, looking for signs of injury that may not be visible to the naked eye. It can detect things such as internal injury, improper heart rate, non-apparent bone fractures, poisoning, and disease. A ninja of higher rank has learned to use this technique to perform a rudimentary examination of a body to determine cause and time of death. A Genin using this skill takes several minutes of work to determine the nature of a problem, a Chuunin takes less than a minute and a Jounin requires only a few seconds.

Kiyomaru (Cleanse) Description: It is not always possible for a medical nin to practice basic hand washing and other procedures. This technique has the effect of instantly removing bacteria, dirt, blood, and other contaminants from the user‟s hands, lower arms, and face. It also insures that any breath that comes from the user‟s body will be free of any bacteria or infectious disease. This technique can also be used to clean the wounds of others in order to prevent infection from bacteria. It the event that the medical nin is using this technique to prevent infection of an injury that has been inflicted upon them, it is used as if the shinobi were using it on somebody else.

Teikouryoku (Power of Resistance) Description: A medical nin must always be aware of becoming a victim of whatever their patient is suffering from. With this technique a medical nin temporarily increases their resistance to diseases and poisons. It has no effect on diseases or poisons already affecting the medical nin. This technique improves as the medical nin grows in power and affords greater resistance to a wider range of diseases and poisons.


Tekishutsu (Extraction) Description: When a patient‟s body has a foreign object in it, such as the point of a shuriken, a senbon needle, or an arrow, it is important to remove the object without further harming the patient. Using this technique the medical nin places their hands on either side of the injured area and uses chakra to very carefully manipulate the surrounding tissues in order to remove the object without causing any further damage. Depending on the severity of the wound and nature of the object, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to remove it.

Gantai no Jutsu (Bandage Skill) Description: Bandages can mean the difference between life and death but unfortunately bandages can run out. Medical nin have learned to make temporary bandages from their surroundings. Objects such as grass, sand, water and many others can be woven together over a wound to create a temporary bandage. The bandage lasts for about five minutes without a supply of chakra from the medical nin.

Sansokyoukyuu (Oxygen Supply) Description: While it is possible for anyone to do CPR without chakra, this technique is an improvement. By holding their hands over a patient‟s chest a shinobi is able to use chakra to very carefully massage the heart and lungs in to functioning. This technique is not effective if for some reason the air passage is blocked, it does not provide oxygen or blood, only forces air in and out of the lungs and makes the heart continue to beat. A Chuunin is able to perform this technique on two patients at once if the need should arise. This technique requires that patients be unconscious and still before it will work and as such it will not work to disrupt the breathing and heart rate of anyone who is awake.

Keksuki Gyouko (Blood Coagulation) Description: A simple healing technique. The user uses his chakra on a wound to make the blood there coagulate and stop bleeding. This is primarily used as a preliminary treatment option as it does not close wounds. The bleeding from superficial wounds can easily be stopped but deep wounds can require several minutes to stop.

Jokyo Dokubutsu (Poison Removal) Description: This technique does not cure a poisoning; it simply extracts a portion of the poison and prevents immediate death. This technique allows a medical nin enough time to prepare an antidote for the poison. This technique can also be used to slow down the effects of a poison used against the medical nin so as to give them time to escape or prepare an antidote for themselves. A patient will still die from a lethal poison even if this technique is used if the poison is not treated. This technique is less effective against highly advanced poisons.

Ondochousetsu (Temperature Control) Description: Normal body temperature can be disrupted for one reason or another and this technique is used to restore it. It can be used to treat abnormally high or low body temperatures either by using chakra to infuse the patients body with heat or by using chakra to siphon off excess heat. It is not required for the medical nin to continue to use this technique in order for it to be effective but unless the cause of the abnormal body temperature is solved then it will occur again over time.

Kuchiyose No Jutsu (Summoning Medical Tools) Description: This technique allows a medical nin to summon some of the tools of their trade. It is not practical to carry around mortar, pestle, and other tools but a scroll that can be used to summon these and other similar objects is both practical and convenient. A higher ranking nin can use this technique to summon more specialized and advanced tools for poison creation and ninja medicine creation but at this level it is only good for medicine creation.

Kigusuri Souzou (Medicine Creation) Description: A medical nin has learned to study the effects of various naturally occurring compounds on the human body and how they can be combined in order to create medicine. In spite of increased knowledge of medical techniques there are times when mixing a medicine is the only solution to a problem. Medicine creation has a variety of uses, such as creating poison antidotes, healing ointments, and disease fighting. Medicines can also be used to treat minor every day ailments such as an upset stomach or cold. A Genin using this skill has only rudimentary knowledge and often requires a small guide in order to find and create basic medicines. A Chuunin will know how to prepare a medicine for any normal injury, poison, or disease. Advanced and highly specialized medicines, such as those needed to counter act the negative effects of the Akimichi 3 color pills, require the knowledge of a Jounin who has learned more through experience than could be found in any book.

Chishio Tensou no Jutsu (Blood Transfusion Skill) Description: Loss of blood is a serious condition, and not very uncommon one in the shinobi battlefield. When a person reaches such a dangerous state, a medical nin can ease their symptoms by using this jutsu. First, the medical nin places a surgically precise cut on the patient and then another cut on the donor. The donor and the recipient must have their respective cuts within six inches of each other; this is typically accomplished by cutting their opposing arms and having them lay beside each other. The medical nin then forms a sphere of chakra between the two cuts drawing out blood from both patients and altering it so that the blood type of the donor matches that of the recipient. It is important to remember that taking more than 1 pint of blood from a donor is extremely dangerous, even with the loss of only 1 pint of blood the donor may suffer from dizziness and fatigue.

Souzou Dokubutsu (Poison Creation) Description: Just as there are many naturally occurring substances that can be combined in order to heal, there are many naturally occurring substances that can be used to harm. Using their knowledge of plants and minerals a medical nin is able to mix together a variety of drugs and poisons that can range from disabling to deadly. It is not always the case however that it is used to harm. This skill is required to create anesthetics and other drugs required to treat patients. Chuunin are able to create poisons that can be ingested or used to coat sharp objects but more advanced poisons such as skin contact poisons require a Jounin.

Hone Chiyu no jutsu (Bone Healer Skill) Description: A variation of Chiyute no jutsu. When an ally has broken or fractured a bone. The ideal way to use this technique is to prepare a concentrated calcium pill with medicine creation but in the absence of the pill it is possible to force the patient‟s bones to release higher concentrations of calcium in to the body than normal. Using the extra calcium, Chiyute no Jutsu is activated, but uses less chakra since the user already has the calcium to work with, but will only work on bone tissue. It is important to remember that bones must be properly and often painfully set back in place before they are repaired. It is not possible to treat bones that have been shattered in to small pieces (comminuted fracture, or „What Gaara did to Lee‟) with this technique.

Hekirekite no Jutsu (Thunder Hands Technique) Description: A ninjutsu in which the user focuses the chakra in his hands so that they can create an electric shock able to give a sufficient enough to make the heart start beating again in the event it has stopped. To use this technique, a medical nin places one hand on the patient‟s upper right chest, just below the shoulder and the other hand on the left side of the patients chest, several inches below the arm and to the left of the chest. It is important that the patient be dry as possible when this technique is used and that no other person is touching.

Ranshinsho (Important Body Points Disturbance) Description: A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja turns their chakra into an electrical pulse which is transmitted into an enemy's body by striking the base of their neck. The electrical impulse travels up their brain stem and disrupts the flow of electricity in the nervous system. The brain cannot work like this, thus all communication between the brain and body are confused, causing a person to move their arm when they should be moving their leg, and generally debilitating them. Only an unusually skilled ninja would be able to overcome such a handicap.

Ninja Kigusuri Souzou (Ninja Medicine Creation) Description: Ever wonder who exactly makes something like a soldier pill or a blood replenishment pill? The answer is a medical nin with extremely advanced knowledge of how to make medicine. With this skill a medical nin is able to create beneficial tools for allies and team mates using naturally occurring substances. Most medicines are closely guarded secrets in villages and in some cases they are only passed down directly from master to student. Unlike normal medicine creation, this technique is not possible in the field‟ and requires a medical nin to at least set up a makeshift medicine lab in order to create the desired medicine.

Shinreitejutsu (Psychic Surgery) Description: This skill is used to perform major surgical procedures. Unlike normal surgery this skill does not require instruments. The medical nin literally inserts their bare hands in to the patient and attempts repair. The difficulty of this procedure depends greatly on the exact kind of operation being performed. It is even possible to remove an organ with this procedure in the event that it has been too severely damaged to repair. Most surgery require hours of exhausting work by the medical nin and only when there is no other choice should such a procedure be attempted in the field.

Saisei (Regeneration) Description: A healing technique is useless when a portion of a patient‟s body has been destroyed. Burns from fire or acid, nerve damage from toxin, lung damage from some diseases, all simply can‟t be healed away because the body has literally no means to correct them. This technique remedies the problem. By using healthy skin, muscle and other tissues, portions of a patient‟s body can be reconstructed. This technique can correct most forms of damage but requires great effort on the part of the medical nin and in the case of injuries that have gone unhealed for too long, the technique is only partially effective. Some portion of the damaged area must be remaining in order to reconstruct it so it is not possible to reconstruct missing limbs with this technique.

Sanjuu Rashoumon is a Ninjutsu summoning technique utilized by Orochimaru. One Rashoumon gate alone was said to be his ultimate defense, with this variation he can summon three of the gates in succession to help block a great incoming blast. Because the gate requires two summoning calls (a right and left), he will bite both his right and left thumbs to initiate the contract.

The gates are not invincible however, being dented by the Soutourou of Kiba and Akamaru, and totally destroyed by Naruto into his four-tailed Kyuubi form. The latter gates do manage to deflect the majority of Naruto's blast though, which could have killed Orochimaru had it not be deflected.

Souja Sousai no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which had been forbidden because of its dark nature. The technique involves the user forming a special hand seal with their target, this allows them to then kill themself and their target at the same time. This technique is usually used as a last resort, when the ninja absolutely needs to kill their target at all costs.


Dance of the Crescent moon (Mikazuki no mai) A sword technique which creates two clones that attack simultaneously to confuse the opponent.


Giant Ball Rasengan (Odama Rasengan) A much larger and stronger version of the Rasengan. This technique requires an extremely large amount of chakra to create. That's the reason why the technique was created by Naruto. Only his extremely large amount of chakra can form the Odama Rasengan. Using a shadow clone, Naruto forms a large sphere of compressed chakra in his hands, then by tapping into his Kyuubi chakra he creates a bigger and stronger Rasengan. When the opponent is hit with the Odama Rasengan, it not only has the effects of the ordinary Rasengan, it also creates an explosion among impact. Dealing even more damage to the target.

Located behind the left eye, the Inital gate is the first of the eight celestial gates; it's not rare for a jounin who uses a good deal of taijutsu to know how to unlock this gate. Occasionally others will learn to break it as
well. This gate is usually broken in order to perform a needed devestating attack or for a self boost to get out of a sticky situation; keeping this gate unlocked for an extended period of time puts a lot of strain on the
muscles.
- Heal Gate [Kyuumon] B rank
The Heal gate is located behind the right eye, it is the second of the eight celestial gates. As any taijutsu specalist knows, battle can be dangerous, if a shinobi is taking a beating they may choose to unlock the Heal gate, which allows them to shrug off a good deal of damage and even make their body function better for a while.
- Life Gate [Seimon]

The Life gate is the third celestial gate, and the first of the forbidden ones; the unnatural endurance granted by this causes the user to barely even register pain, as such they would not give up easily in a fight, even if they are horribly outmatched. Located near the top of the spine, this gate furthers the endurance of the user. This gate grants some minor healing when opened as well.
- Harm Gate [Shoumon]

The fourth gate is known as the Harm gate, and for good reason. Like the Life gate located right above it, it is forbidden for it's risk to oneself. This gate allows the user to tap into their own abilities even further, allowing them to truly use their taijutsu techniques to their full advantage. This is not without a price, however, while this gate is open the muscles are slowly being torn to shreds by the sheer force flowing through them.
Limit Gate [Tomon]

Placed below the Harm gate, the Limit gate's name is a bit of a misnomer, by opening this gates the mind's natural inhibitions placed on the body are foricbly removed. This massively increases chakra flow, grants superhuman speed and strength and allows the user to fight even if he would be dead several times over. When this gate is unlocked the user's chakra forms a visible aura around them, and the chakra even appears to heal their
wounds somewhat. Of course, the minds unconsious inhibitions are there to protect the body, with them gone the body slowly tears itself to pieces, not knowing when to stop.
- View Gate [Keimon]

Falling in line below the Life, Harm, and Limit gates, the View gate is a rare sight to behold. Only taijutsu masters have ever succeded in unlocking this gate, and then with drastically strong effects. The user's body is actually burning from the chakra pouring out of all the tenketsu, creating such a thick aura that some jutsu are actually partially deflected. The chakra is basically holding the body together as the user's muscles and even some bones are being torn to shreds. Many have died while this gate has been unlocked.

- Wonder Gate [Kyoumon] S rank
The penultimate of the eight celestial gates is located at the base of the spinal cord; the Wonder Gate is only attained by true masters of the art of taijutsu; at this point the mind has actually convinced the body that it can do more then 100%, rather then the normal 20-30% it normally does. The enormous surge of energy granted by this state shreds part of the body as the gate is broken; however, the chakra is absorbed by every fiber of the
body, knitting it together again, making it better; at least temporarily. The body is functioning at what no body should, and this state causes extreme physical pain; but the mind at this point has transcended pain.
- Death Gate [Shimon]

Upon unlocking the final gate, located in the heart, the body dies. The heart explodes, the lungs stop taking in air, blood stops circulating; the user is clinically dead, and no means exist to bring them back. Why would someone unlock this gate if it is inevtiable death? That's for the user to decide, what is known about this gate is that even though the body is dead the mind controls it with chakra flow alone, animating it and causing it to
function as if it were still alive. Damage to the user means nothing, and even if a weapon should sever the body in half the chakra holds it together. Only true masters of taijutsu have been able to attain the unlocking of this gate, and then only under the most dire of circumstances.Once the jutsu ends, the body disintegrates into nothing (killing the user).

Renge: Renge, a series of high-speed hand-to-hand combat moves. Because of its high speed and power it requires a lot of stamina and it strains the muscles.

Omote Renge: A taijutsu technique performed by opening the first chakra gate, the open gate. It unfastens the control of the brain, and enables a person to use his muscles at their limits. Because of that the user is granted phenomenal high speed and power. But since it requires a lot of stamina it puts an unimaginable strain on the muscles. Omote Renge is launched by a kick to the jaw and putting the opponent in the air. Using bandages to hold the opponent, they are then spunned into the ground with extreme force.

Ura Renge: A forbidden jutsu performed by opening 3 chakra gates (releases the body's limits on muscle usage/chakra flow). It puts a lot of strain on the body and muscles and is nearly a suicidal attack. It goes beyond the speed and power of any other lotus technique. Continuous speed and high powered attacks makes this devastating to any opponent. The power can increase even more by opening more chakra gates, but the result is immobility of the user, due to torn muscle fibers.

Kage Buyou:A technique that first sends the opponent airborne while the user attaches to the opponent's shadow, leaving the opponent vulnerable to stronger attacks.

Gatsuuga: A powerful taijutsu attack where the user spins towards the opponent with amazing speed, in an attempt to cut and scratch them with claws, fangs, etc. In most cases, performed by two or more people/animals at the same time.

wolf claws jutsu- makes users nails grow a considerable size and harden to the likelyness of steel.

demon edge- infuses his katanas with blood and chakra sharpening the blade and making it near indestructible.

lightning enhancement- uses concentrated lightning to speed up rate at which the nervous system communicates with the brain sharpening senses and reflexes

void: makes user completely emotion less and feel no pain... as if he was in a different body.

to make it you form a flame in your mind and feed all emotion into it until there is nothing. it is very difficult to master and for those just learning must be taken a step at a time. for those who have used it often it becomes much easier. it is especially useful during fights because it seems like you are your opponent and helps you read movements and also heightens your reaction speed and makes it extremely difficult to be affected by genjutsu

it helps when learning to have a fire of some sorts. when mastered well enough you can hold it forever without even thinking and when that level of concentration is reached you will cease to recognize heat and cold and conditions that would cripple others will have seemingly no effect. you will no longer sweat as well which adds a huge advantage when being interrogated or interrogating someone.

Mitsu will use this to summon various types of GEM dragons (will get info on them when I can) that correspond to the several types of gems he has found from his clan

Gem dragons

Gem dragons are typically of neutral alignment. They are the Amethyst Dragon, the Crystal Dragon, the Emerald Dragon, the Sapphire Dragon, and the Topaz Dragon. Sardior is the deity of gem dragons.

* Notes: The most powerful of the neutral gem dragon, amethyst dragons are honorable, regal creatures. They inhabit the mountains of the northern islands, living on the shores of isolated lakes and pools. At birth, these dragons have lavender skin with fine, translucent-purple scales. These scales darken as the creature grows older, eventually reaching a sparkling lavender color.

These creatures approach life with a detached air, ignoring the conflicts of good and evil, law and chaos. At best, they see these conflicts as petty squabbles over inconsequential points of view, and not worthy of their time or consideration. These majestic dragons consider themselves to be the leaders of the gem dragons, and most of the lesser gem dragons acquiesce to this leadership - in everyday life and in the Council Aerie. While amethyst dragons consider their silver and copper cousins to be foolish and have an active dislike of red and white dragons, they do not consider any life form to be their inherent enemies. They prefer to reason out a settlement through discussion and negotiation rather than through combat, but they can and will fight if they must. Being honourable and noble, these dragons never hide or attempt to ambush foes. To them, even retreating is a dishonourable action, but they will flee if faced with certain death. Amethyst dragons eat large quantities of fish and gems. They keep vassals to attend to their needs, though they do not place as many restrictions or requirements on them as other dragon lords do. Most keep at least one hidden, underwater cave for seclusion and secrecy. Amethyst dragons approach mating in a very logical manner, seeking the optimum partner to produce the best offspring. Love and pleasure rarely, if ever, enter the equation.

* Notes: The friendly crystal dragons of Io's Blood's northern isles spend much time trying to learn about world around them. While solitary by nature, they welcome visitors who come to them with good intentions.

Hatchlings have glossy white scales that become more and more translucent with age. By the time they reach adulthood, these scales become luminescent in moonlight. In the full light of the day they glow with a dazzling, almost unbearable brilliance. Fun-loving and mischievous, crystal dragons tend to be irresponsible rulers. For the daily running of their domains, these dragons rely on their vassals to keep things going. They establish domains in the cold, open northern reaches, building castles out of snow and ice. They leave these castles open to the sky, for they love to watch the stars on clear, cold nights. The white dragon clans consider crystal dragons to be nothing more than prey, so the two types are almost always in conflict. The crystal dragons also have little love for the tribes of giants that live beyond the Ice Sea and often come south to enslave the small, relatively weak gem dragons. Like other benevolent dragons, the crystal dragons prefer to talk rather than fight. Even without special abilities, they can be charming and engaging to an extreme. Gems and metal ores are their foods of choice. They mate with willing partners whenever they want, as desire and need move them. It has also been known for crystal dragons to adopt white dragon hatchlings.

* Notes: Emerald dragons live among the tropical islands in the Io's Blood chain's southern waters. They are a curious species, taken to keeping track of history, lore and customs. They tend to be very reclusive, suspicious that others covet their treasure hoards and territory.

Hatchlings have translucent green scales, which harden and take on many shades of green as they age. These scales are scintillating in the light, giving an emerald dragon's hide the appearance of being in constant motion. A desire for privacy runs through the emerald clans, going so far as to determine where the dragon lords and their spawn establish lairs. In the southern islands, emerald dragons built their domains around the inactive volcano range that stretches across the tropical isles. Only their most trusted vassals are permitted to serve them within the main lairs. The others tend to duties throughout the rest of the domain. The primary lairs consist of traps and alarms designed to warn of visitor and other threats. Emerald dragons prefer to quietly observe intruders and rarely emerge from hiding. If parlay is called for, they send their kindred or chief vassals to handle such duties while they watch, hidden, from cover. When forced into combat, emerald dragons prefer to attack by ambush, using stealth and surprise attacks to quickly disable their enemies. If the threat prove to be too great to handle, an emerald dragon will not hesitate to retreat. However, it will plan revenge, and its patience can last for centuries if need be. Emerald dragons have no compunctions about what they eat. They prefer lizards and giants, but they will eat anything in a pinch. Of all the other type of dragonkind, emerald dragons get along best with the sapphire dragons, often controlling parallel domains (emerald dragons taking the surface, sapphire dragon the subterranean areas below). They fear the red dragon clans because of their well-known greed, and they are usually in open conflict with the fire giants from beyond the Burning Sea.Emeralds like the security and protection offered by a trusted partner and will take a single mate for a long time.

* Notes:Obsidian dragons, while the most intelligent of the gem dragons, are also the most vicious. They are extremely haughty, anger easily, and like to toy with prey before finishing it off.

An obsidian dragon has smooth black skin with razor edges where joints come together. When first hatched, their scales are gray, rough to touch, and well defined. As they get older, the scales darken, become smoother, and begin to blend together.

Most obsidian dragons prefer to make their lairs around volcanoes or in one of the mountains of coal found on the Elemental Plane of Fire. Most great wyrms, though, make use of the genesis power to create their own demiplane.[1]

* Notes: The sapphire dragons of the Io's Blood Isles control subterranean domains beneath two of the larger southern islands. While most of the territory above their realms belongs to the emerald dragons, they keep a small portion of the surface area as their own as well as the extensive caverns beneath the tropical jungles.

From birth, sapphire dragons are beautiful, with scale ranging from light to dark blue in color, which sparkle in the light. Because of their coloration, they are sometimes mistaken for blue dragons. Of all dragonkind, perhaps the sapphire dragon clans are the most militaristic. They fervently protect their territory from outsiders, going so far as to distrust anyone who even gets close to their borders. They work to keep their vassals in peak fighting condition, maintaining some of the best-trained armies in the isles. As most of the territory that interests the sapphire clans is below the ground, they rarely come into conflict with other dragon clans unless they attempt to take caverns currently in use. Only the black dragons compete with them for the tropical underground, and even they are wary of going into direct conflict with the armies of the sapphire clans. Most of the demihuman vassals serving the sapphire dragons are either dwarves or gnomes, as these races have no problems living and working beneath the ground. Also, elves are too much like drow, whom these dragons consider to be one of their natural enemies. Dwarven vassals are treated little better than slaves, as the two species were once at war, and they are almost never granted the kindred bond. This honour is usually reserved for gnome only. Giant spiders make up most of a sapphire dragon's diet, and great hunts are conducted through the subterranean tunnels to find these delicacies. When a dragon lord feeling particularly lazy, it will send its dwarven vassals into the tunnels in search of the spiders. Of course, they must capture the spiders alive. While militaristic and warlike, the sapphire dragons are not quick to attack. They prefer to observe intruders (all visitors are intruders) so that they can plan how to deal with them. If drow or dwarves from another clan approach, they are immediately attacked. Others can often at least make some gesture of friendship or parlay before being told to leave. If a sapphire dragon or its treasure is ever threatened, it attacks immediately with its breath weapon, spells, and physical attacks. It uses psionics and special abilities to escape if faced with a more powerful foe. Sapphire dragons take a single mate for long periods of time, however sapphires seek to possess a mate to enhance their prestige and status more than other reasons

* Notes: Topaz dragons inhabit the coastal regions of the temperate islands, building lairs below the waterline, though constructing them so they remain dry. Clannish and self-seeking, these gem dragons usually want little to do with the other inhabitants of the isles. They keep vassals to fill their domain and make them appear as prosperous as their neighbors, and they participate in the Council activities on occasion, but for the most part these dragons neither seek company nor welcome it.

Out of the egg, a topaz dragon is a dull yellow-orange in color. With the age, its scales harden and become translucent and faceted. When it reaches adulthood, a topaz dragon sparkles in the light of the sun. While topaz dragons enjoy the feel of sea wind and spray on their faceted-scale hides, they do not particularly like the water. They swim to hunt, attack, or reach their lairs, but not for enjoyment. They do love to eat fish and other sea creatures, especially the tasty giant squids that live in the Coral Sea. While not malicious, topaz dragons are not the best of company or particularly pleasant to deal with. Besides caring little for social graces, they display erratic behavior that is unsettling and very confusing. They dislike visitors, but tend to avoid combat if they can help it. If combat is unavoidable, they use tricks and promises to distract their foes before striking with teeth and claws (which they enjoy using). Unless it specifically interests or affect them, topaz dragons tend to be indifferent to the causes and concerns that occupy the rest of dragonkind. They dislike bronze dragons and usually oppose the interests of those clans. It takes time for a topaz dragon to accept another dragon's friendship, but once it does it remains a friend for life. once another dragon gets past its outer defenses and gruff exterior, it finds a loyal companion and ready protector in the topaz dragon.

Description

Sardior appears as a long sinewy dragon covered with deep ruby red scales and a playful expression. He is also known to be a great conversationalist with a quick wit.

Relationships

Sardior is served by five thanes, each representing a breed of gem dragon. They are Aleithilithos (male amethyst dragon), Hrodel (female crystal dragon), Smargad (male emerald dragon), Charisma (female sapphire dragon), and Tithonnas (male topaz dragon). Seradess, an obsidian dragon, once served as a sixth thane, but Sardior destroyed her and banished her obsidian kin from his court. The exact reason is unclear, even among Sardior's own clergy.

Realm

Sardior's realm is a huge floating castle, which orbits the world in the Prime Material Plane and stays forever in the shadows from the sun. On the nights it can be seen, viewers mistake Sardior's lair for a small red moon[citation needed].

Periodically, Saridor moves his fortress through the planes, visiting the djinni Citadel of Ice and Steel and Jazirian's realm of Uroboros on its journeys.

Dogma

As the Master of the Gem Dragons, Sardior does not require much from his followers, nor does he try to guide their decisions. The gem dragons look upon Sardior as the draconic ideal and strive to be more like him[who?].

Worshippers

Sardior is worshipped by neutral dragons, psions, and psychic warriors. Most gem dragons keep a ruby on a pedastal as a shrine to Sardior.

Clergy

Sardior's clergy are few. The Ruby Dragon's favored weapon is the claw.

Temples

Temples to Sardior are rarer than even his clerics. The Ruby Dragon's temples tend to be near a community of some sort, and are often found in high areas which allow clear views of the night sky.

The One Power

The True Source is made up of two halves, saidar and saidin. Saidar is the female half of the One Power, saidin the male half. Only two to three percent of people have the ability to touch the One Power. When a person draws from the One Power and controlling its flow from the True Source it is called channeling.

Channeling takes threads of the One Power and weaves them to perform various tasks. The five threads of the One Power are Earth, Fire, Air, Water, and Spirit. People who have the ability to channel typically have a greater natural ability to deal with one or two of the different threads. Some rare individuals exhibit a great ability with three of the threads. Even during the Age of Legends it was extremely rare to find someone who could handle four of the threads very strongly.

In general, men are stronger than women with the One Power. To balance this perhaps, women tended to have more dexterity in weaving the threads of the One Power. Typically, men were more adept with Fire and Earth, while women were more talented with Air and Water.

Use of the One Power is addictive. The act of channeling makes the person feel more alive, such that life without touching either saidin or saidar seems only a pale shade of what life should be. It is this reason that channeling is dangerous - drawing too much of the One Power can at the least sear the ability to channel out of a person, at the worst it can kill.

One way to prevent the accidental burning out which can result from drawing too much of the One Power is the use of angreal or sa’angreal. While angreal and sa’angreal increase the amount of the Power one can channel, the artifacts known as ter’angreal are created to use the Power in a specific manner. The uses of ter’angreal range from extremely important to somewhat frivolous.

Sometimes, Aes Sedai or others have been cut off from the One Power as a punishment. This process, known as "severing," is akin to a death sentence. Men and women who have been severed eventually lose the will to live.

It is also possible for men and women who can channel to link together. While the power of this circle formed by linking is less than the cumulative strength of all the individual members, it allows for a greater amount of the Power to be utilized with the same precision as if the leader of the circle was channeling alone.

There are a number of restrictions placed upon linked circles. Most deal with the numbers of men and women who are involved in the circle, and what gender the leader must be depending on the composition of the circle. For example, a circle of women can only expand to thirteen without the addition of a man.

While the One Power is not a living thing, it has in general greatly improved the quality of life for the people of the world. People who can channel are highly regarded in just about every nation in the world. Without the One Power, the land would be a very different place.



Sa'angreal

Sa’angreal are the rarest of all the artifacts associated with the One Power. Like angreal, they increase the amount of the Power a user can channel, but sa’angreal are much more powerful than angreal. As much as an angreal allows a channeler to increase the amount of the Power they can draw unaided, a sa’angreal increases that amount to an equal degree over a channeler using an angreal.

The two most powerful sa’angreal in history were constructed during the War of Power, one for a man and one for a woman. They were so powerful that specialized ter’angreal were constructed so they could be used safely. Designed to look like two huge statues, these sa’angreal were made to seal the hole in the Dark One’s prison. The ter’angreal required to use them were thought to be lost during the Breaking of the World.

Another sa’angreal is well known, though few realize that it is an object of the Power - Callandor. All known that the removal of Callandor from the Stone of Tear would be one of the great signs that the Dragon had been Reborn. Callandor is actually the second most powerful sa’angreal ever made for a man.

Even the White Tower possesses few sa’angreal. The sa’angreal the Aes Sedai have been able to find are secured safely in guarded rooms, and are seldom used. A sa’angreal in the wrong hands could present a serious problem.

Ter'angreal

While not as rare as either angreal or sa’angreal, ter’angreal are hardly common. Ter’angreal are constructed to use the One Power in a specific manner, as opposed to simply increasing the amount of the Power a man or woman can channel. Ter’angreal that require channeling are attuned to either men or women. Some ter’angreal, though, can be used even by those who cannot channel.

Some ter’angreal seem to have rather pointless applications. One ter’angreal in the White Tower duplicates the chance-twisting effects of a ta’veren over a very small region. A coin flipped in the presence of this ter’angreal landed on edge hundreds of times in a row.

Other ter’angreal have much more prominent uses. Among these are the ter’angreal which Aes Sedai use to raise novices to the level of Accepted, and the ringed ter’angreal used by those Aiel women who are to enter training to become a Wise One. These ter’angreal somehow show the users their worst fears, or possible courses of their lives. It is believed that these ter’angreal might somehow transport the user to one of the parallel worlds which can also be reached through the use of Portal Stones.

Two of the most interesting ter’angreal are doorways. These doorways allow the user to travel to the land of the Aelfinn and Eelfinn. These peoples are completely alien to humankind and have extremely strange powers. Users can go through the door only once, though it is believed that one of these doorways has been destroyed.

Some ter’angreal allow the user to enter the Unseen World, Tel’aran’rhiod. Some of these ter’angreal work without channeling. Others require the user to channel Spirit, the only thread of the One Power that can be woven while asleep.

A good number of ter’angreal stored in the White Tower remain mysteries. Some Brown Aes Sedai dedicate themselves to the study of ter’angreal. But these studies are dangerous - channeling the One Power around ter’angreal can often have unexpected and destructive consequences. No small number of Aes Sedai have been stilled studying ter’angreal. Perhaps this is why so many ter’angreal lie untouched deep within the Tower.

The making of ter’angreal had been lost since the Breaking of the World, but recent efforts by Elayne Trakand have changed that. She has succeeded in the creation of various ter’angreal, with the promise of more to come.

Apple Blossoms in the Wind
A versatile technique, intended for use against an ambush by multiple opponents. The blade is held low, but ready for use in a number of strike forms. Keep loose and move slowly.

Arc of the Moon
A simple slash, meant to take off an opponent's head. Probably begins at midbody level, arcs to neck, and ends back at a guard stance.

The Boar Rushes Down the Mountain
A vertical slash, but one that can alter course in midswing quickly. Starts high and ends low. Try this with
Tower of Morning.

Bundling Straw
Several quick chest-level thrusts, followed by an arc and a paired return arc that should return the blade to a guard stance. Try this against a quarterstaff opponent.

Cat Crossing the Courtyard
Not a sword-form or stance, but a method of movement which maximizes alertness and reaction potential. Weight should be on the balls of the feet, with head held high and eyes constantly shifting, watching for threats. Arms and hands should freely move, not in pockets or holding items. Each step should be taken confidently, but not hurriedly.

The Cat Dances on the Wall
A feinting, tentative series of short slashes, thrusts, and parries. The swordsman must have good wrists and quick feet for this to be effective. Useful for buying time.

Cat on Hot Sand
A faster, less tentative version of The Cat Dances on the Wall. Better for multiple opponents.

The Courtier Taps His Fan
A quick, powerful overhand blow, meant to split the head. A good move for anyone to have in his repetoire.

The Creeper Embraces the Oak
A slow, circling stance. The blade goes from high to low and back to constantly offer a new threat and to guard against others. Forms to use out of this: The Falling Leaf, Lightning of Three Prongs.

The Falcon Stoops
An abbreviated version of The Kingfisher Takes a Silverback. A quick overhand thrust, returning to a guard position just as quickly.

The Falling Leaf
A more exaggerated and slower version of The Boar Rushes Down the Mountain. Starting high, the blade sweeps back and forth before reaching its lowest point. Can be used to parry effectively against multiple opponents, or just one. Move from this straight into The River Undercuts the Bank or The Wind Blows over the Wall, and you've got an effective pair.

Folding the Fan
The sword sheathing technique. The blade is smoothly swung around from guard stance and sheathed, all in one motion.

The Grapevine Twines
A circular motion when blades are locked, used to disarm an opponent.

The Heron Spreads Its Wings
The operational version of Heron Wading in the Rushes. A tighter cut, concentrated in one sector of the arc of the sword.

Heron Wading in the Rushes
IMPORTANT: This form should only be used for practicing balance. It is possible to use this form in combat, but it is highly likely you will receive your opponent's weapon in your chest before you take his head. A horizontal, pivoting slash done on one foot. Begun at shoulder or head height.

Hummingbird Kisses the Honeyrose
A quick thrust in the face. Will at least deter an opponent, and will usually kill a charging opponent outright. Blade should start from shoulder height, though it may be performed from any level less quickly.

The Kingfisher takes a Silverback
Begun while the sword is at shoulder height or higher, a downward stab for the abdomen. Begun when the sword is lower than shoulder height, a downward stab meant to cripple a leg or the groin. May also be used to parry a midlevel strike.

Leopard in the Tree
A preliminary form, begun with both hands on the hilt of the sword, knees bent, and leaning forward in a ready position. This form is used to prepare for Unfolding the Fan or another such drawing technique.

Leaf Floating on the Breeze
A horizontal guard position with a form similar to The Falling Leaf. The blade will move up and down according to the threat while moving horizontally to offer new threats. A good basic form. Attacks from this position should include Lightning of Three Prongs and Lizard in the Thornbush.

Lightning of Three Prongs
Beginning from a basic stance like Lion on the Hill, a thrust that can either continue as a thrust or slash to either side. Can also be used to parry.

Lion on the Hill
A basic guard stance, with the sword held at shoulder height ready to move into a variety of other forms. Looks kinda like Crono's basic battle stance - see a Chrono Trigger page for more info.

Lizard in the Thornbush
Used expressly against two opponents. One thrust to the chest, then pivot and kneel with either a thrust or a slash, usually a thrust. Good mid-level technique; most veteran-level soldiers have mastered this form.

Low Wind Rising
Can be done from almost any stance - even sitting. A diagonal slash, beginning low and rising cleanly. May be used to return to a guard stance after a form such as The Grapevine Twines or Lightning of Three Prongs.

Moon Rises Over the Water
A vertical arc after a horizontal, tentative slash. The blade should begin and end in the same position - near the waist.

Parting the Silk
A more controlled slash, probably used as a precision block or strike. Directed at the abdomen, a good move to draw first blood or inflict nonlethal damage on an opponent.

Ribbon in the Air
A horizontal slash that may change direction up or down at the tail end. Should be begun just below chest height. Both feet should be used in this form, unlike the Heron forms.

The River Undercuts the Bank
Can be done from a kneeling or standing position. A horizontal slash, used to disembowel or behead.

Sheathing the Sword
More of a concept than a sword-form, this is used when what you can gain is greater than or equal to what you may lose in the process of gaining it. This might be using Heron Wading in the Rushes like Rand al'Thor, or it might be using Lizard in the Thornbush to take down two major opponents when you know a third, less important one is coming up behind you.

Stones Falling from the Cliff
The medium difficulty version of Boar Rushes Down the Mountain. A good mainstay of a battle, this form is useful for both parrying and attacking. The sword should begin at least at shoulder height and come down.

Striking the Spark
A rapid series of powerful overhand blows, best begun on the return swing of a slash like Low Wind Rising or The Heron Spreads Its Wings. If you've got stamina this can win a battle for you.

The Swallow Rides the Air
The guard stance assumed after performing The Swallow Takes Flight. More of an on-the-run stance, made for attacking or defending while mobile.

The Swallow Takes Flight
Basically, Low Wind Rising followed by a short thrust. The form is angled more toward the opponent, though, so that the opening slash is more a guard for the thrust.

Thistledown Floats on the Whirlwind
A short-range jumping spin-swipe, used for beheading. Best if done by surprise. An opening move in most cases. The sword should not move more than a foot or so; the main force is provided by the spin of the body. The blade should not extend too far out from the body, and be approximately chest high.

Tower of Morning
A vertical slash, starting low and ending high. I'd pair this one with Boar Rushes Down the Mountain or The Courtier Taps His Fan.

Twisting the Wind
For use in a tight situation, when one is outnumbered. A quick, continual rotation of the body, using slashes and short thrusts to counter or attack as the situation dictates.

Unfolding the Fan
The exact opposite of Folding the Fan. Can be used as an opener, since this form can unsheathe the sword and stroke at the same time. Can also be used if caught off guard or in an awkward position.

Water Flows Downhill
A more complicated form of The Boar Rushes Down the Mountain. This form can and will change direction in midstroke; only the more advanced swordsmen use this form. Like its name, it takes the easiest route from high to low, avoiding contact with the other weapon while seeking its target.

Whirlwind on the Mountain
A form of Thistledown Floats on the Whirlwind, except done while remaining on the ground. Can be modified for use for striking uphill or downhill simply by changing the angle of the spin. The sword also is extended further than with Thistledown Floats on the Whirlwind.

Wind and Rain
Another complicated form. Begun with either Low Wind Rising or Parting the Silk, this form follows through with multiple short thrusts or quick overhand blows.

The Wood Grouse Dances
Similar to the Cat Dances on the Wall, but from a more stationary point. Mainly to feel out an enemy, more than to do serious harm.
